LSS Science Foundation is a public institution founded by the LSS. The LSS Council carries out functions of a joint proprietor.

The main objectives of the LSS Science Foundation include the preservation of the scientific potential and heritage; publicising of achievements of the Lithuanian science and promoting of international recognition; support to and encouragement of the activities of members of the LSS in promoting the development of research, culture and education.

The main areas of activities of the LSS Science Foundation are research projects; applied, creative and social projects, and mediation in their implementation; arrangement of symposia, conferences, meetings and other public events; publication of scientific proceedings, monographs, popular science literature, methodological guidelines, etc.
